Building Through Positive Change

New Energy Works Construction Division is Rochester Business Journal’s 2025 Leaders in Construction & Real Estate award winner for home building. Our timber frame project, Inclusion in Motion, is a 2025 Top Projects award honoree.

“We are excited to join a distinguished collection of other Rochester area developers, architects, contractors, and partners who practice innovation, forward thinking building methods with our home building leader award,” says Eric Fraser President of East Coast New Energy Works. “But the real honor is having Inclusion in Motion win a top project. This radically inclusive playground and pavilion was a passion project for our internal team with its impact on the community. We’re glad to see it honored.”

The Motion Junction pavilion project is truly one of a kind. Created with partners: eco_logic STUDIOS, IDEA Center at the University of Buffalo, Massa Construction, Inclusion In Motion, Landscape Structures, and Fire Tower Engineered Timber the facility has the distinction of being the first Universal Design (UD) certified and fully inclusive playground in the United States.

The pavilion is a testament to community, generosity, and inclusion through motion. It’s everyone’s place, a space that accommodates its visitor’s needs, and leaves no one behind. Everyone can recreate, play, and share in the facility from toddlers to grandparents regardless of their ability.

Having a Top Project that shows the heart, ethos, and the craftsmanship of the New Energy Works team is exciting. We’re glad to be able to share our 40 years of timber framing with our community through projects of this level.
