From our studio shops in New York & Oregon - Our design services focus on creating custom structures designed specifically for the site, the people, and the purpose.
Detailed craftsmanship, quality materials, and the ability to collaboratively design a home specifically for you are the hallmarks of what our design service is all about. Our in-house design team specialize in incorporating timber frames into highly efficient heirloom homes that are thoughtful, forward thinking, and tailored to the client’s lifestyle.
The architects and designers on our team have the unique ability to work together with our engineering group and timber frame shop to integrate architectural design, structural engineering, high-performance enclosures, and timber frame joinery into a seamless operation that moves a project along from concept to completion, utilizing as many or as few of our related services as is necessary.
For projects that also require a build partner, we can accommodate that as well. On select projects in the northeast we offer General Contracting services.

Though all of our projects are custom, browsing some favorites from our design portfolio is a great place to pull inspiration for your space. If you'd like to take a look at floorplans, send us an email and we'll share some of our project sheets.
Lead by licensed architects, our studios in Rochester, NY and Portland, OR house our design team whose favorite part of the project is getting to know your site.
Before we bring your project into the world of floor plans and 3D renderings, we'll walk your site and get to know how you live. These two pieces of information will guide the design process, assuring that your home fits your lifestyle and your land. From there you'll work with our team to develop floor plans and renderings that take you inside the space. Here's a glimpse of some projects the design team has created in the past.
