Working with reclaimed timbers comes with various challenges, one of which is the existing mortise pockets and peg holes. Some designs call for the antique joinery to be left exposed, but for this project John is squaring up an old mortise pocket so it can be filled with a "plug" of the same reclaimed Oak material.
