Last week, despite inches of rain and mud, our timber framers Marc, Paul and Will, assembled and raised a two-tiered observation tower for a Hueber-Breuer dormitory project in Upstate NY. The structure, made of laminated and solid Douglas fir timbers, helps to balance the concrete and steel of the new dormitory, while paying homage to the region's post and beam roots.
