Last Saturday we ran a community raising for Mount Angel Abbey's Benedictine Brewery in Mt. Angel. Our thanks to the 100 volunteers, including 10 of our coworkers, and 10 local timber framers who joined 40 monks and seminarians, carpenters and community members to raise the frame for the new brewery. Said Chris Jones, the Project Manager for the monastery, "This raising is a ton of right in a wrong way world. Yeah, it fits right in with the mission of the brewery (support the Abbey, support local charities, support local economics), but it's a lot more than that. It feels like making a change for good and right one community step at a time.” Stay tuned, we'll have a video of the event to share with you soon.
