This timber frame barn in Maryland is possible thanks to large glulam beams on the lowest level supporting the rest of the Douglas fir frame. These 42" X 10" beams span 42 feet. In keeping with surrounding agricultural building, the barn is topped at 63 feet with a traditional cupola.
