Come-along straps are a vital tool at most raisings. These rounded nylon straps have multiple uses - from wrapping timbers so they can be lifted by the crane, to pulling timbers apart to allow very tight joints to align, to keeping timbers from falling until multiple joints have been pegged. As you can imagine, this particularly large frame, raised in Massachusetts, required many, many straps.
