Mike–an old-school type full of good stories with a smile–is most often in layout marking up rough timbers for the final touches in the next stages. He's the one behind the bigger puzzle; the curves and chamfers and precise details...plus he applies the individual codes to each timber. Last week, however, we found Mike had traded pencil and mouse for chisel and mallet as he lent a hand in fabrication.
