Curved bottom chords will create a softer feel to the timber trusses and also make the vaulted volumes have a lower "human scale" in the great room of this lake home. Currently on the boards with our design group, plans call for the kitchen, dining area, and great room to live as one space. This will give ample room for large entertaining, but remain separated enough by the timber design to allow for cozy gatherings.
