It has been our experience that households benefit from a central organization area. We've created several such spaces, affectionately called 'command central', usually near the kitchen or family room. A custom desk with plenty of storage compartments and surface area where phone chargers, calendars, car keys, and other necessary tools can reside is a must. This particular desk was made of walnut and hickory for a small Kentucky family.
