This design, soon to be brought to life, uses what we affectionately call “trimber”. A king post truss will adorn the highest peak of the home while serving no structural purpose – it is timber trim, aka: trimber. The remaining timber elements create a large porch and entry way, while the remainder of the home will be conventionally built, or as we like to say, "stick" built.
