We're known for our expertise in sourcing and using reclaimed timber for our frames. Still, this timber frame, designed in partnership with Design Works, is special because it's crafted of antique Chestnut. A nearly extinct species decimated by blight in the 50's. The only sources of mature chestnut timber are old barns and industrial buildings. This frame will be prized for the timber's deep patina and the story it tells of its past life through ferrous staining and original mortise pockets.
