Two tricks of the trade: The hand-forged, rubbed metal straps were placed around the bottom chords of each of the core timber frame trusses before they arrived on site. And, due to the site configuration and the way the entry porch is attached to the main frame, the last bent was lifted over the previously raised frame of this Massachusetts home.
