Timbers express structure and craft. Even more so, they herald events and purpose like the framing of this front door designed and built as a team between NEWwoodworks, New Energy Works Design and our timber framers.

Bill Keir, general manager of Oakwrights Ltd. of Hereford, England, visited us in Farmington and shared amazing images of his twenty year career as a timber framer way over there. Here he poses next to our last two Welland canal timbers, which once served as part of the lock gates, and measure 36"x44"x 40' long."

This thoughtfully proportioned boathouse on Canandaigua Lake was design by Jack Sigrist of Architectural Innovations of Pittsford, New York.

We used locally harvested Eastern white pine on this project. The lightness of the wood will darken with time giving it a rich amber hue.
