Bill Keir, general manager of Oakwrights Ltd. of Hereford, England, visited us in Farmington and shared amazing images of his twenty year career as a timber framer way over there. Here he poses next to our last two Welland canal timbers, which once served as part of the lock gates, and measure 36"x44"x 40' long."

Scott Burkett looks down with a smile from the blue skies of a New York state raising. He’s been lent to the east coast from his base out of the McMinnville shop in Oregon where his smile and work ethic are sorely missed.

"It's grand, real grand, Jonathan. The timbers are, of course, a real sight to behold every day and everyone driving by slows their pace for awhile ...a good start for what we're envisioning once we can actually show our wines inside. Today, the white fir decking is going on the roof. Looks great! Thanks for choreographing a magical Raising Day for us! Everyone who came left inspired and impressed!" Welcome to New Energy Works
Hello, and thanks for visiting.
For over twenty years, New Energy Works has been one of the nation's preeminent timber frame home builders. We offer a range of services including timberframe design, fine woodworking, timber frame enclosure services utilizing SIP's and of course, some of the most elegant and lyrical timber frames in the industry.
Weve had the privilege of working with some great clients. Some have been struggling young couples who want a modest home in the Finger Lakes region of New York others have been high-end architects and builders creating magnificent lodges high in the mountains of Colorado — others still are interested in building in Portland, Oregon, one of the greenest states in the US. Their common denominator is the love of fine wood, elegant design, sustainable design and old-world craftsmanship.
We hope that you'll explore our website and revisit it regularly. In the years that we've been online, we've found this site to be an invaluable design resource, one that has evolved and improved through input from people like you. We always appreciate your comments - keep in touch.
