Sure it was a grueling 90 degree week
and the humidity was about 90% through most of it, but
that didn't stop 15 participants from New York, Canada
and the Netherlands from building what is sure to be
one heck of a treehouse.
We can't say enough about how hard everyone
worked, laughed & learned; some had building experience,
some had their first construction moments with us the
last week of June. Most had never been up in a tree
harness, let alone to be up in it raising 500 lb timbers
for a treehouse foundation. But with the help of our
friends from Seattle's TreeHouse Workshops, some New
Energy Works timber framers, and our crew of participants,
the beams have been raised and the frame completed on
this 200 sqft classroom in the air.
