Slocum Home - The Fireplace
Pioneer Millworks has been collecting these massive hand-cut stones from some of the old barns that they've taken down. Interior Designer Maxine Bromfield got a great idea that if we could cut these stones in half - they'd make one helluva fireplace. This works perfectly in the Slocum home where the fireplace is the center of the main floor with the great room on the hearth side, and the casual room on the other. With the help of mason Ken Block and some prior puzzle work on New Energy Works front lawn it was evident from the beginning that this fireplace would be a task worth conquering.
