The Slocum Home

George and Priscilla Slocum gave us a call in the summer of 2005 when they were looking for a company to handle the design and construction of their new home. They explained that their property on the west shore of Cayuga Lake had been in the family for generations and so the building that was to grace its shaded acres had to be more than just a little bit special.

Faced with such an interesting challenge, Eg., this is probably the only home we'll build this year with its own lighthouse, we put our heads together came up with the ideas you see on these pages. Check back often as we track its progress from concept to completion.
