What's Happening...
SMACC'S WILD WATER DERBY The BIGGEST Single Day Paddling Event in New York State! If you missed the Wild Water Derby this past April - you'll have to join us in 2008 to see how many paddles hit the water for the third time since its resurrection. The Shortsville Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce [SMACC] announced to us that the 2007 derby was the largest single day paddling event in New York State! The SMACC's goal was to reach this milestone by year 4. Now, two years ahead of schedule, the American Canoe Association has confirmed that the Wild Water Derby had more people register that any of the other prestigious paddling events happening around the state. Congrats to the SMACC and everyone involved. We'll see YOU in the water in 2008!

EROI Festival 2007 October 11th-14th \| Rochester, NY The Eastman School of Music in October hosts 4 days filled with Organ music, discussion and learning. Jonathan Orpin and Jim Turner will be part of the Pre-Symposium Program, Round Table on the Casparini Project where they'll give insight on the 3D scanning & carving project they've been working on. 	New Energy Works Timber Frame for Sale - Our antipodean friends and clients Geoff and Dianne Woolfe, have recently been called back to their native Australia and have decided to put their custom timber frame home on the market. It's located on the west side of Canandaigua Lake and features some beautiful woodworking, a dramatic timber frame and thoughtful design. Click here for more pictures and details.

The Namgyal Monastery Raising September brought our crew of timber framers together with the Buddhist monks of Namgyal Monastery where we raised the roof for their new study and retreat center Dü Khor Choe Ling. This sweet complex tucked in the forests of Ithaca should provide a calming place for the study of the traditions of Buddhism. Read more about it from The Ithaca Journal
